Refrigeration Engineer – Research & Development - Low Cost of Living

You have enjoyed the development of new & modified products, their testing and compliance with client expectations.  You are good at collecting relevant data and the analysis of it to direct your work.  You also have a track record of sourcing relevant components to improve the efficiency of manufacture / assembly of existing products or meet clients’ performance expectations in new products

Your next employer counts Fonterra amongst its clients and demand for its products is outstripping capacity, in terms of:

  • Designing modifications to the existing product range, or
  • Consulting with clients to pursue a challenging new direction for research, or
  • Manufacturing existing products (the on-site team has grown from 18 to 43 over the last year!).

In your new role, you will be supported by Manufacturing Engineers and Refrigeration Technicians with heaps of experience servicing products out in the field.

This is close to being an autonomous position – you will have a lot of control over what you do and will therefore need to be a self-starter.  Ideally, you will be a professional Engineer with a Refrigeration background, but you might be a skilled refrigeration tradesperson with experience of working in an R&D environment.

The key requirement for an international candidate applying for this role will be that they have good conversational English.
